Be Inspired. Inspire Others.

BE INSPIRED AND INSPIRE OTHERS to focus on the basics that make good things happen (better results, better relationships). Use our fresh no-fluff messages to encourage more accountability and remarkable contribution from your team (and maybe yourself).

We're here to encourage and reinforce the fact that life is about contribution first. If we work with this in mind (professionally and personally), we'll make our world a better place for others and ourselves while we're here (and for those who follow).

Not easy. But always possible. We've developed several messages and tools to help make it possible.

Each message can work by itself, in conjunction with any of our other themes, or with one you may already have in place.

Cross The Line™ can help you inspire your staff and colleagues to fully commit to their work and the school objectives. This message encourages us to commit to whatever we do. Because...

With everything, there is a line.

On one side of the line is a greater chance to make good things happen (better results, better relationships, more responsibility). This is where you'll find all those people you admire. On the other side, there's less of a chance.

Which side will you choose?

212° the extra degree® can help you remind and encourage your staff and colleagues about the importance of extra effort and attention and how the small things can have such a big impact on results.

It begins with the premise, "At 211 degrees, water is hot. At 212 degrees, it boils. And with boiling water comes steam. And with steam, you can power a train. Just one extra degree can make all the difference."

I have used the 212 and Smove campaigns with my bank team here in Pueblo. Doing so substantially reduced our customer service complaints and really enforced a sense of pride and accomplishment with all our team members. Too often services businesses like ours can become inwardly focused and forget the reason for being. These two programs including the wrist bands helped remind all of us the importance of taking care of the customer.

I have taken the 212 attitude and mentality with me to my new job as a recruiter and it truly changed the way I work. I have the 212 picture with boiling water hanging below my name on my wall and I look at it every hour to remind me to "keep trucking" no matter what. If I get the urge to go home at 6pm, I look at the picture and I pick up the phone to make that extra call, send that extra email, interview that extra candidate, etc. Everyone in the office has caught on and loves the message as well. I have shown them the video. My nickname is now "212". Thanks for the message. I live and die by it!

Smile & Move® is a reminder and call-to-action to be positive in our service to others. It is a fun, clear, and easily embraced message that can help everyone be more service-oriented in their actions toward each other and those you serve as a team. It's about creating better relationships and better results and making good things happen for other people.

There are 5 ways to smile (wake up, be thankful, be approachable, complain less, smile more) and 4 ways to move (start early and go long, exceed expectations, have a sense of urgency, be resourceful and resilient).

I have a "Wake up, Be thankful..." poster on the back of my door to remind me of my attitude each day as I exit my office. I also distributed (and wear on my ID badge) a "Love your people" pin for visibility and accountability, as well as to create curiosity from others to ask me what it means (and I actually need to order a more to share). I didn't know about the "Be No Ego" cards but might order some of those as well.

Love Your People® is a declaration of care for our people - those we lead and those we serve. A 5-minute read at most, this booklet was made to help all of us remember, more often than not, that the people around us (those we've allowed to be in our lives and those that have allowed us in theirs), deserve our care and attention (colleagues, customers, patients, students, friends, etc.). There are 8 points to loving your people (contribute, be patient, be kind, be honest, encourage people, apologize, forgive, thank people).

No puppy dogs, kittens, hearts or hugs (well, maybe a hug but it's not in the booklet). This is the kind of love that holds us accountable to making good things happen.

More thoughts and ideas...

Just thought I would let you that I found your cards the most useful. I leave them on the keyboards of my team members before they get in when I think they need a pick me up or something to help them keep things in perspective. We never really talk about it but they always end up pinned to their desk or stuck to their monitors and I can tell that they appreciate the thought that goes behind them. Keep up the good work!

I am the superintendent of a small rural school district in Culver, Oregon. We have had a revolving door of superintendents (I have been the elementary principal for 10 years and added the superintendent role 2 years ago while remaining the elem. principal). So... it has been a constant drive of mine to remind them of all the reasons to strive for excellence - the kids & community deserve it. My motto is "Excellence - no excuses".
I was searching for many strategies to share this message when I stumbled across your Cross The Line clip. I immediately ordered the video and showed at an all district staff meeting & I shared it with the school board. In speaking about it to one of our coaches I mentioned that there was another motivating video called "Be 212" that would be great for staff and athletes. He is our 5-time State Wrestling Champions Varsity coach. He got out his check book and wrote me a check to buy it for the district as long as he could use it for his wrestlers. I then showed that clip at an all district staff meeting. 4 teachers then asked to borrow it and show it to their high school students. The wrestling coach then had me come show it to his wrestling team. When they brought home their 5th state wrestling title, we had a huge assembly for them and each state champion wrestler gave a little speech. One of the boys shared that this experience has taught him what it means to "BE 212" and what you can accomplish. The wrestling coach looked at me and winked as if to say.... we made an impact.

My 17 year old son is trying to raise his game in high-school basketball. He is on an elite team that has taken them to the Provincials the last 2 years in a row (landing 4th & 7th respectively) with his team being younger and smaller than their competitors. He wants more court time for his final year. I showed him the 'Cross The Line' video and since then he's been heading to school early every morning to practice his shooting (which has improved greatly, by the way). The new season will start in late September for him... regardless of where he lands on the roster, his confidence and personal pride has risen along with his shot average, which will carry him far beyond high school basketball. Thank you. You guys rock!
